About Cabin John Village
With a rich and complex history, Cabin John Village has always been a pillar of the Potomac community. In 1880, formerly enslaved William Dove purchased 36 acres of land becoming one of the first African American landowners in Montgomery County. Some of these acres are a part of what we call Cabin John Village today.
This area has long been known as a gathering place embraced by the multi-generation community that surrounds it. Since acquiring the property in 2016, EDENS has transformed the traditional shopping center experience into a welcoming community village. This comprehensive transformation includes new retail focusing on home goods, upgraded dining options, activities for children and health and wellness concepts. With the addition of the Community Plaza, Cabin John Village hosts a robust program of free community events including summer movie nights, festivals and Farmers Markets.
Through thoughtful planning, masterful design and connective experiences, Cabin John Village has established itself as a destination for decades to come.
